For The Hideaway Project, we set out to create an extraordinary space that radiates class, elegance, and warmth! With a stunning blend of neutral fabrics and coastal features, the design perfectly captures the client's sophisticated taste while offering a serene and inviting atmosphere. Our goal was to achieve a cohesive look that beautifully marries their love for coastal aesthetics with timeless elegance. By incorporating high-quality, timeless furniture in neutral tones and adding warm, inviting colors, we crafted a luxurious yet comfortable haven. Natural materials like wood and linen bring a cozy texture, while delightful coastal accessories—think seashell-inspired decor and nautical-themed artwork—infuse the space with soft blue and sandy hues that evoke the beach!

The room's existing architecture featured a few structural elements that couldn't be altered. I designed seamlessly around them integrating the new aesthetic. They also had a collection of sentimental antique pieces. I made sure to showcase them into the design without disrupting the overall flow and style.

- Floor Plan -
Strategic Space Planning: The room was divided into functional zones, including a cozy seating area and dining space, enhancing both organization and spaciousness. Creative storage solutions, like built-in shelving and hidden compartments, helped maintain elegance and reduce clutter. Existing structural elements, such as columns, were designed to match the theme, while the window area was transformed into a cozy conversation nook with comfortable seating and soft textiles.

Budget Considerations: The client had a good budget but needed to allocate funds wisely, prioritizing high-impact furniture that would be long lasting and decor for quality and visual appeal, while choosing budget-friendly options for less critical items. Balancing Bold and Neutral Elements: To achieve a dynamic look, neutral furniture was paired with bold decor, such as vibrant artwork and statement lighting, creating harmony.
Final Design + Transformation
The transformation and impact was remarkable. The final design transformed the client's space into a stunning, functional, and personalized haven. By addressing the specific design dilemmas and constraints, the room now feels cohesive, luxurious, and reflective of the client's unique personality and lifestyle. The serene and inviting atmosphere created by the blend of classic elegance and coastal charm has provided the client with a beautiful space to relax, entertain, and enjoy their home to the fullest.
The goal was to create a space that felt cohesive, luxurious, and tailored to the client's love for coastal aesthetics combined with a timeless and elegant style. The design was centered around creating a serene and inviting atmosphere that reflected the client's sophisticated taste while ensuring practicality and comfort. This transformation showcases the impact of thoughtful design and meticulous attention to detail. By working closely with the client and understanding their needs and preferences, the final design not only met but exceeded their expectations, creating a space that truly feels like home.

Goals: The client wanted the space to emulate the classic elegance of Hampton homes, with all new furniture. With an incredible ocean view as the backdrop, the design aimed to enhance the natural beauty of the surroundings while providing a sophisticated and tranquil living.
Color Palette: Cooler Tones, soft blues, sandy beiges, and griege and gray to reflect a coastal yet modern sophisticated vibe.
Furniture: A mix of classic upholstered sofas and armchairs with clean lines, complemented by wooden coffee tables and side tables.
Textiles: Plush, neutral-toned fabrics for upholstery, paired with throw pillows and blankets in coastal hues and patterns.
Decor: Nautical-themed artwork, decorative shells, and driftwood-inspired accessories to subtly infuse the coastal theme.
Lighting: Elegant, cool-toned lighting fixtures to create a cozy and inviting ambiance, but with a modern edge.
One of my favorite projects involved a complete renovation of a client's beachfront condo. They wanted the space to emulate the classic elegance of Hampton homes, incorporating elements like new kitchen and bathroom cabinets, sinks, faucets, hardware, wall features, flooring and all new furniture. With an incredible ocean view as the backdrop, the design aimed to enhance the natural beauty of the surroundings while providing a sophisticated and tranquil living space. I began by selecting high-quality, coastal-inspired materials and finishes that would withstand the seaside environment while exuding a timeless charm. For the kitchen and bathroom cabinets, we opted for crisp white cabinetry with subtle detailing, paired with sleek brushed gold hardware. The new sinks and faucets were chosen for their clean lines and durability, ensuring both functionality and style.
